Alois consists of the original bar and dining rooms in the Victorian Hotel portion of Bube’s Brewery. Each individually decorated room, employing hand stenciling and other painting techniques, is a work of art worth seeing in its own right.

Murder Mysteries in Alois – our Bube’s in house troupe of actors and the Alois staff present a murder mystery dinner on selected dates (see our evens calendar). An entertaining evening and a complete dinner are included in the price of $50 per person. Depending on which date you choose, you and your guests will be choosing from one of the following:
- The Central Hotel Premier Murder Mystery – It is the opening night of the Central Hotel at Bube’s Brewery in 1889 with Mr. And Mrs. Alois Bube, the mayor of Mount Joy and other invited dignitaries. You are among the honored guests.
- Dinner with the Duchess Murder Mystery – It is the first social occasion arranged by the Duchess of Norfolk since the passing of her husband the Earl. Join the Duchess for her first party.
- The Confederate Conspiracy – It is an evening dinner party on the night before the Confederate Army is poised to invade Lancaster County.
- The Bootlegger’s Revenge Murder Mystery – The King of the Philadelphia bootleggers, Max Hoff, has called together the bosses of all the gangs to meet at Handgun Henry’s speakeasy to work out some issues so that everyone can profit. But maybe there is more afoot than meets the eye!

The menu served at the murder mystery is a complete dinner including appetizers, salad, soup, beef and chicken with appropriate side dishes with dessert offered after. Join us for a lively evening in an historic setting!
